Tracy W. Korman, Managing Partner; Strategy & Innovation Practice Lead

Tracy is a proven senior leader with a demonstrated ability to retool operations for increased productivity and margins, as well as drive excellence in marketing, operations, customer relationship management, finance, pricing and strategy. His background spans startups, growing concerns and larger enterprises allied with industry expertise in population health management, chronic condition support, wellness, health information and telecommunications. He has a track record of founding and building highly profitable mid-sized and large-scale businesses in the health care and information industries.

Prior to co-founding Health Data Sciences Group, Tracy spent five years at Health Integrated where he focused on driving innovation across the enterprise and led corporate and product strategy, informatics, pricing strategy and developing the company's products and marketing assets. Tracy created data-enabled, psychosocially integrated programs for finding and mitigating population risks for payers and improving the health outcomes for vulnerable populations. Tracy led Health Integrated's professional services organization and Innovations practice, providing cutting-edge care management support to senior plan leadership.

Prior to Health Integrated, Tracy was founder and chief executive officer of Longitude Health, EVP and general manager of Ovid Health Technologies, founder and executive vice president of Broadview Networks, partner with Abbey Road, the leading pricing strategy consultancy,  and a consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton where he worked with senior leadership of fortune 50 companies on strategies for driving growth and profitability

Tracy is a returned Peace Corps volunteer who served in Ecuador, and a Harvard graduate with a master’s in business administration. His undergraduate degree in literature was earned at Swarthmore College.

Kyahn Kamali, Managing Partner; Analytics Practice Lead

Prior to co-founding Health Data Science Group, Kyahn served as Vice President of Healthcare Data Sciences at Health Integrated, developing data strategies and solutions in support of over 7 million covered lives. Kyahn works closely with payers, providers and healthcare services firms to optimize risk identification, member selection, provider performance assessment, health econometric modeling and strategic data infrastructure improvement for sustained high level population health performance.

Prior to joining Health Integrated, Kyahn was the Director of Research and Development at Nationwide Better Health (NBH), a health and wellness company founded by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. In this role he led a team of senior analysts in efforts to validate the impact and value of NBH total population health and workforce management programs through client reporting and research studies. Clients included many self-insured Fortune 500 companies, in addition to clients in the healthcare and education sectors, covering over 3 million lives.

Kyahn is an extremely versatile professional with expertise in IT, data informatics, analysis and the use of data for driving business outcomes optimization. Over the past 20 years he has applied this expertise in a number of fields including healthcare, finance/lending, Internet and retail environments. He has hands-on experience across many business and analytic areas, including financial modeling, predictive modeling, marketing effectiveness evaluation, call center evaluations, return on investment, and other impact analyses.

Kyahn holds a Masters degree in Health Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health with a focus on Health Finance and Administration. He also holds a Masters degree in theoretical astrophysics from the Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in Science from The University of Washington. Kyahn has been recognized as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS 2007-2010).

Chris Guy, partner, Health Knowledge Innovation Lead

With over forty years of progressive experience in health informatics, Chris has a proven record of using health data to transform care delivery, finance, and insurance. Chris is a curious soul with hands-on knowledge in a wide range of health data, technologies, and platforms. At Health Data Sciences Group, Chris will focus on using emerging technologies to integrate health data from disparate sources to enable advanced analytics and deliver new insights and value. Chris is a systems-thinker who is passionate about using informatics to optimize health system performance.

Prior to joining HDSG, Chris spent seventeen years with Kaiser Permanente. During his time at Kaiser, Chris led numerous informatics programs with a focus on integrating data from across Kaiser’s different platforms to deliver new strategic, tactical, and operational knowledge. Most recently, Chris was the Realization Lead for a board approved investment to enable a cloud analytics solution. This program delivered a peta-byte scale data lake (Azure) and novel AI, ML and visualization tools to support financial and operational leaders. Chris’s experience at Kaiser included innovations in finance, pricing, data warehousing, regulatory reporting, cost accounting and advanced analytics. Prior to joining Kaiser, Chris worked at several west coast health systems, as an independent consultant and with health start-ups.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Puget Sound, a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Washington and a Graduate Certificate in Medical Informatics from Oregon Health Sciences University. Chris has obtained technical and professional certifications from Epic Systems, Microsoft, HIMSS, John Hopkins and University of California San Diego. Technically, Chris has experience with a variety of data tools (SQL, Cypher, C#, VB, Neo4j) and health nomenclatures (ICD, CPT, SNOMed, LOINC, RxNORM, DRG, FHIR, OMOP).
